Casual Walks
Caledonian Way
This cycle path will take you along the shores of Loch Linnhe, and is accessible practically from the doorstep of every property - we recommend you keep a keen eye out for otters and other wildlife!
Port Appin Cave Walk
Just 20 minutes away by car, this trail features spectacular geological formations and takes around half an hour at a leisurely pace.
Glencoe Lochan
Only a 10 minute drive, this walk around a man-made lochan takes around 20 minutes, and is particularly scenic in autumn as the leaves turn brown and fall into the water!
Sutherland's Grove
A 20 minute drive from the hotel, this woodland walk is actually a choice of trails, ranging from an easy 15 minute stroll, to the troll trail which will take you over some steeper terrain and a footbridge - just beware the troll!
More challenging trails
The Pap of Glencoe
This famous walk is around a 10 minute drive from the hotel, and parking can be found along the single track road the other side of Glencoe Village - the car park and beginning of the path are signed. This walk will take around 3 hours and can be quite steep, and also requires scrambling at the summit.
Sgòrr Dhònuill
For this walk, we recommend parking at the forestry car park in Glenachulish, a 2 minute drive from us, where there are signs pointing you in the right direction. This track features 2 munroes, and tackling both will take around 6 hours, however this walk can be made shorter by just tackling 1!
The Lost Valley (Coire Gabhail)
This historic trail is reportedly where the MacDonalds of Glencoe would hide their rustled cattle, and is about a 15 minute drive from the hotel. This walk is a bit easier than the other 2 and takes around 2 to 3 hours!
